I really do need to apologise for going awol for a while. I had a huge curveball thrown into my life at the end of last year and have spent the last few months building a new life for me and my gorgeous girls. You may have noticed my name’s changed from Lipscombe, back to my maiden name of McDonnell. My girls, family, friends and Stampin’ Up! have all been a huge support to me and my little family are finally getting back on track. I’ve kept my business ticking over in the background but it’s the start of a BRAND NEW Stampin’ Up! year and I’m back!!! I’ve missed updating my blog and have so much to share with you so I hope you’ll forgive the absence and stick with me! It’s good to be back, Tracy xxx
It’s that time of year again to thank our fantastic teachers – step forward Sunshine Wishes Thinlits – just perfect for the thank you cards! I fell in love with these Thinlits as soon as I clapped eyes on them and even better, you can buy them as a bundle with the equally gorgeous Sunshine Sayings stamp set! I wanted something a little bigger to fill the space so I chose One Big Meaning stamp set for this greeting. Here’s how I made it…
Cut a card base using 1/2 sheet of Thick Whisper White cardstock (I cut mine in portrait mode) Cut a 3 ½” x 3 ½” square of Basic Black cardstock and adhere to the cardbase at an angle. Layer a 2 ¾” x 2 ¾” piece of Sweet Sugarplum DSP from the In Colors 2016-18 Designer Paper Stack, again at an angle. Stamp the sentiment in Archival Black Ink onto a 2 ¼” x 2¼” piece of Whisper White, sponge the edges with Sweet Sugarplum Ink and add to the layers using dimensionals. Cut the largest flower from Sunshine Wishes Thinlits in Basic Black and Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. Add to the card using a little Tombow glue. And voila! This works so well in all of the new In Colors. As always, if you’d like to buy the supplies to make this card, click on the product photos below to go straight to my online shop xx
My lovely Dad celebrated his 70th birthday yesterday so of course I wanted to make him a special card!
I fell in love with Painter’s Palette when I first saw the new catalogue and thought it’s perfect for those tricky ‘guy’ cards! Here’s how I made it…
Use 1/2 sheet of A4 Pool Party Cardstock for the base. Add an angled piece of 3 ¾ x 4 ½ Bermuda Bay Cardstock. Stamp the easel image in Archival Black Ink onto a 3 ¼ x 4 ½ piece of Whisper White. Randomly stamp the paints spatters in Night Of Navy, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party and layer onto the card. Cut the numbers from the Large Number Framelits in Silver Glimmer Paper. Finish with the super cute Bermuda Bay hearts from the Brights Enamel Shapes and Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon. Happy birthday Dad! xx
All 4 of the sentiments are just fab and you get a cute heart and anchor in the set too! Here’s how I made it…
Cut a piece of A4 Thick Whisper White cardstock in half and attach angled layers of 3 ¾” x 3 ¾” Melon Mambo and 3 ½” x 3 ½” Basic Black cardstock. Stamp the sentiment in Melon Mambo onto a piece of 3″ x 3″ Whisper White cardstock and sponge the edges. Add a few hearts in the top corner and angle onto the other layers. Stamp a couple more hearts on the bottom left corner of the card base and finish with the super cute Melon Mambo 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon tied around the card base. If you’d like to buy the supplies for this card, click on any on the product photos below to go straight to my online shop. xx

My eldest, Maddison likes the Whisper White with a hint of Blushing Bride but my little Bo loves the Mint Macaron! What do you think? Either way, how cute are these Honeycomb Embellishments? Thankfully, they’re still available until the end of May so if you want to make this card, click on the supply list below and it’ll take you straight to my shop. Here’s how I made it…
Cut a piece of portrait A4 Crumb Cake Cardstock in halve and score to make the cardbase. On a 5 7/8″ x 3 5/8″ piece of Whisper White, stamp the 2 dandelion images from Balloon Celebration in Blushing Bride randomly – I stamped off once each time to get a more subtle shade. Add to the base leaving ¼” border down each side. Adhere 5 5/8″ x 1 ½” Blushing Bride Cardstock at an angle. On a piece of 5 3/8″ x 1¼” Whisper White, stamp ‘Let Us Celebrate’ from Balloon Celebration Stamp Set in Basic Black Archival Ink as the balloon string. Sponge around the edges in Blushing Bride and add your favourite Honeycomb Embellishment. I sponged the white one lightly with Blushing Bride ink. Tie a bow in Bakers Twine (oops! I had Blushing Bride in my stash which is retired – Whisper White is a great alternative) and fix with a glue dot just under the base of the Honeycomb. Add this layer to the card using dimentionals. If you want to post this, stick one side of the Honeycomb to the card but leave for your recipient to open xx
All good things must come to an end and it’s the last 2 weeks of Weekly Deals…and there’s loads on offer!
Weekly Deals were designed to help Stampin’ Up! clear some overstocks and have been offered at an amazing price. As these stock piles started to deplete, there were less products to include and so the time has come to say goodbye to the deals. Instead, Stampin’ Up! will offer ‘Special Offers’ in the future – these deals will happen less often but will be worth waiting for! In the meantime, check out this weeks HUGE list of deals by clicking on my Special Offers page. These can be ordered along with anything from the current catalogues and Clearance Rack. Go, go, go! xx
Because the Spring/Summer catalogue is soooo fantastic, it’s easy to forget all of the beautiful products in the main catalogue so I thought it was time to revisit it!
How pretty is this DSP? Just perfect for my Spring tissue box cover (these measurements fit the Kleenex Rectangle ‘cube’ box of tissues). Here’s how I made it…
Cut 2 pieces of Crumb Cake Cardstock measuring 10″ x 5 ¼. Score them both at 4″ & 8 ½” and then with the short side at the top, score at 4 ¾”. Overlap the pieces, sticking the 1 ½” section to the inside of the 4″ section. Cut all the scorelines up to the ½” scoreline (4 cuts) This should then line up perfectly to fold over and glue the other 1 ½” section to the other 4″ section forming the cube shape. Cut the following DSP – 2 pieces measuring 4″ x 4 ¼”, 2 measuring 3 ½” x 4 ¼” and 1 piece of 4″ x 3 ½” for the top. Stick the side pieces to the box, ensuring the scored edge is to the top of the box. Place the cover over your tissue box, add Tombow adhesive to the 4 corners of the scored edge and fold to form the border for the lid. Cut a piece of 4″ x 4 ½” Crumb Cake Cardstock for the lid. Attach the DSP and on the other side, draw a line in pencil from corner to corner – this will help you to centre the framelits. Cut the opening in the centre of the lid using the 3rd smallest framelit from the Ovals Collection. I also cut a rim in coordinating cardstock using the 3rd and 4th smallest framelits – centre one inside of the other. This helps to reinforce the opening. Add tombow to the top edges of the cover and attach the lid. Finally, punch out some flowers using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and add a pearl in the centre of each. xx
Crumb Cake Cardstock – 2 pieces 10″ x 5 ¼” & 1 piece 4″ x 4 ½”
English Garden DSP – 2 pieces 4″ x 4 ¼”, 2 pieces 3 ½” x 4 ¼” and 1 piece of 4″ x 3 ½”
This is a really simple card to make if you need one in a hurry and can be used for any occasion. Here’s how I made it…
Cut a card base using ½ piece of A4 Thick Whisper White Cardstock. Cut 3 Melon Mambo 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” squares and 3 Basic Black squares measuring 1 ½” x 1 ½”. Space the Melon Mambo squares evenly across the centre of the card, then add the black squares – either centrally on angled like mine. Stamp the trio of Daisies from Grateful Bunch Stamp Set in Archival Black Ink (top tip – stamp with the smallest daisy at the top so the punch lines up perfectly!) and punch out using the Blossom Bunch Punch. These are available as a bundle for the special price of £29.75 – a 15% saving! Choose which size flowers you’d like to use – I’ve gone with 2 medium and 1 large. Attach to the squares with dimensionals and finish with a cute It’s My Party Enamel Dot in the centre of each. My Happy Easter greeting is from Crazy About You Stamp Set (also available as a bundle with Hello You Thinlits. If you’d like any more information about how to order bundles or any other products, please do get in touch via my Contact Page. xx
