Sending Love Thank You Gift

Thank You Gift Jan Many Mini ThanksIf you’re looking for a sweet but simply thank you gift, you can’t go far wrong with this cute package!

Every month, I send out thank you cards and gifts to everyone who shops with me as a token of my appreciation.  This month, I’m using the adorable Sending Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Spring/Summer catalogue along with the Envelope Punch Board and this uber cute stamp from Suite Sentiments Stamp Set.

Here’s how I made it.  Take a 3 ¾” x 3 ¾” piece of Sending Love DSP and line it up with the 1 5/8″ mark on the Envelope Punch Board.  Punch and score then rotate 90° and line up the score line with the score marker.  Punch and score, repeating on all sides.  Fold on all of the score lines and pop your treat inside – I’ve used a mini Green and Blacks chocolate.  Wrap the sides and bottom around the chocolate then fix the top flap with a Mini Glue Dot.  Make a 5″ x ½” belly band out of the remaining DSP, wrap around the package and secure with a couple of Mini Glue Dots.  Stamp the sentiment from Suite Sentiments in Real Red, punch out with the 1″ Circle Punch and sponge the edges in Real Red ink.  Fix to the belly band with a dimensional.  Tracy x

A Twist & Pop (of Pink!) for Mum’s 70th!

Mum's 70th cardIt’s fair to say that when they were dishing out Mum’s, I must have been at the top of the list as mine is truly amazing!

I wanted to make her an extra special card for her 70th birthday last Sunday and I’d seen a few of these amazing Twist & Pop Up cards in the last couple of months so decided to design my own.  I followed a tutorial from a very talented lady called Cathy Williams and then put my own spin on it with the decoration.

Here’s the link to Cathy’s tutorial…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lx4nXalGM0I&t=4s

I adore Pop Of Pink DSP and thought it would be perfect for a celebration card.  I layered the front with Basic Black & Melon Mambo Cardstock, cut the heart from Sunshine Wishes Thinlins in Gold Foil Sheets and embossed the sentiment from Tin Of Cards in gold, finishing off with Gold Metallic Thread and Metallic SeqMum's 70th card openuins.  And now for the Wow!  With some clever folding and sticking (less complicated than you may think) the centre pops up!  I cut the letters and numbers from Large Letters and Large Numbers Framelits and slightly offset Melon Mambo over Basic Black to really make them pop.  I added more Pop Of Pink DSP and layered Basic Black and Melon Mambo hearts to finish.  Mum was so happy with her card – a real keepsake for her special day. xx

Beautiful You Home Decor

Presentation Home DecorLove, love, love this stamp set!  Here are just a couple of home decor ideas I came up with for my presentation.

My favourite Stampin’ Up! colour has to be Elegant Eggplant so I wanted to make sure it featured in my presentation.  I’m also know for my ‘offset’ (wonky!) cards – I find them much more forgiving than straight layers but I know some people just can’t bring themselves to do theirs the same so let me assure you, these look stunning layered neatly too!

To get the image onto the candle, I stamped the image and sentiment in Black Archival Ink onto white tissue paper.  With the ink pad closed, I gave it a firmish squeeze to make a little pool of ink on the inside lid then picked up the ink using Aqua Painters and added colour to the image.  Again, I coloured outside of the lines.  I then cut around them fairly closely but this doesn’t have to be exact like fussy cutting, it’s just to minimise the excess tissue paper.  I placed it (right side up) onto the candle, then wrapped a piece of wax paper (greaseproof works) over the top and held it taught at the back.  Using the Heat Tool, I ‘melted’ the image onto the candle, being careful not to let the candle start to bubble.  Just enough to transfer the image.  Once I’d peeled of the wax paper, the image appeared beautifully.  I wanted to tie it in with the framed prints so I added a 12″ x 1.75″ piece of Silver Glimmer Paper around the base with Tear & Tape.  Using a piece of 12″ x 1.25″ Elegant Eggplant Cardstock, I punched all the way along with the Confetti Stars Border Punch and layered over the Glimmer Paper, securing again with Tear & Tape.  You could use A4 Elegant Eggplant and make a little join at the back.  The frame and plate were so sparkly in real life and really showed off the set beautifully. xx

Sneak Peak! Beautiful You Stamp Set – My Presentation Projects

Presentation CardsHow stunning is this set!  Beautiful You indeed!

Here are some of the projects I shared in my presentation at OnStage Local Telford.  In my excitement, I forgot to take proper individual photos but hopefully you can see it lends itself really well to watercolouring.  As you know, I tend to do wonky cards (on purpose!) or maybe I should call them jaunty.  This set has 13 stamps and features the 3 ladies shown and some beautiful, uplifting sentiments that are so versatile and it’s such great value for money.  You can order this set from me from 4th Jan so save some of your Christmas pennies! In my next post I’ll show you how I’ve taken these 3 cards and made them into home decor pieces – see, told you it was versatile!  You’re going to love it! xx

I was a presenter at OnStage Local Telford!

Presentation AnnouncementI was so thrilled a few months back when I got a call from Stampin’ Up! asking me to be a Presenter at OnStage Local in Telford!

Of course I jumped at the chance and thought I’d worry about the nerves of presenting to 400+ talented demos and losing 48 stone nearer the time…I think I managed 7lbs and the nerves were still there but I loved it anyway!  Here’s the photo of my name in lights on one of the big screens.  I was so lucky to be presenting a stunning stamp set called Beautiful You coming out in the Spring/Summer Catalogue (4th Jan – eek!)  I’ll share the projects I made with you over the next few posts.  I was truly blown away by the amazing comments from my fellow demos and I just know you’ll fall in love with the set as I did.  xxPresenting 2

Not the clearest shot but this is me on stage!

Warmth & Cheer meets Tin Of Tags

Warmth & CheerThere’s something about this card which makes me think of sitting in front of a log fire with a cosy jumper on!  Ok and maybe a glass of Shiraz!

It must be the Cable Knit Embossing Folder, Gold Glimmer Paper and Cherry Cobbler accents!  We’re going to be making this card at my next Craft & Coffee Evening at Bay Leaves Larder in Chandlers Ford along with a cute table favour.  I didn’t buy the Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper (DSP) for sometime – my upline Liz Shannon quotes me to her customers as saying ‘Delightful Dijon has no place in Christmas!’  Ok, I admit it’s not my favourite and it has no place in MY Christmas BUT as always with Stampin’ Up DSP, there’s a fabulous print on the reverse side.  I adore this DSP and it comes in the handy 6″x 6″ stack so is great for making cute bags and favours too.  Here’s how I made the card…

I layered Cherry Cobbler Cardstock onto a Whisper White Notecard then added a further layer of Whisper White which I’d embossed using the Cable Knit Embossing Folder.  I punched a 2″ x 3.5″ tag with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, sponged the edges and stamped the sentiment from Tin Of Tags in Cherry Cobbler.  I punched the base with the Confetti Stars Border Punch and adhered a 2″ x 1.75″ piece of Gold Glimmer Paper behind with Glue Dots before rounding the corners with the Project Life Corner Punch.  I popped a length of Cherry Cobbler Silky Taffeta Ribbon through and made a bow using Warmth & Cheer DSO and the Bow Builder Punch. Finally I added a couple of star sequins and popped the tag onto the card with dimensionals. xx

Coffee & Card? Two of my favourite things!

C&C 08.11.16 I don’t know about you but I struggle to get going in the morning without a coffee!

I’m so happy to say I have a new joint venture with Bay Tree Larder in Chandlers Ford, Hants.  If you’re local, why not pop in on a Tuesday morning (9-11am every week), enjoy your usual regular cuppa and make a cute card all for £5 – multitasking at it’s best!  Here’s the one we made in our first week.

We triple stamped the ‘swoosh’ from Work Of Art stamp set in Bermuda Bay onto a notecard to get the 3 different tones, then stamped the sentiment from the same set in Black Archival Ink.  We finished the card off with a vellum butterfly cut with the Elegant Butterfly Punch.  We sponged the edges of the butterfly with Bermuda Bay ink and popped a rhinestone on for a little sparkle! xx

Happy Anniversary Mum & Dad!

AnniversaryIt’s official…I have the best parents in the world!

And today is their 49th wedding anniversary so I wanted to make them a special card.  Elegant Eggplant is my favourite colour (you may have spotted this from past posts!) and I’ve paired it with Smokey Slate and Basic Gray.  Up until today, I’ve never used the gorgeous Timeless Textures stamp set but saw a similar background on a card in Pinterest so took the plunge!  I’ve teamed it up with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and Silver Foil Sheets.  I added a couple of Melon Mambo hearts from the Confetti Hearts Border punch for Mum & Dad’s card and did another for my class without.  Which do you prefer? xx
